A DMU for Angouleme forks left at the triangular junction at St Server-de-Saintonge and joins the line running eastwards down the Charente valley to Cognac and Angouleme. The main line running south to Bordeaux is straight on at this point but only the Cognac line platforms remain at this little used country station that lies around 12km south east from Saintes.
