Kirkgunzeon
Close up of the 1859 station at Kirkgunzeon, between Castle Douglas and Dumfries, in September 2009. Some refurbishment has taken place since my previous visit, with the last of the platform remains now covered by the patio, although the station clock has reappeared. Much of the surrounding area, including the former goods yard, is now part of a caravan park.
