Heapey
A remarkable transformation has taken place at Heapey since closure of the direct Blackburn to Chorley line in 1960. The original two storey building has been added onto on all sides to make a very large private residence. It makes an interesting comparison with near neighbour Withnell See image 23878, which was originally an identical station. This view towards Chorley shows the gravel drive and garden covering the old trackbed.
