Impressive looking A3 Pacific no 60090 Grand Parade waits at Hawick with the 2.36pm Edinburgh - Carlisle service in June 1959, sporting a double chimney but still to receive smoke deflectors. The A3 in its final form ended its days at St Rollox shed from which it was deployed on the Buchanan Street - Aberdeen 3-hour services before official withdrawal by BR in October 1963.
