Teversall East
The SLS (Midland area) Farewell to GN Branch Lines in Derbys & Notts rail tour stands at the former GN station at Teversall East (Teversall until 1953) on 4 May 1968. In the background is the bridge carrying the Midland Railway route, while behind the camera the GN line ran on to serve two local collieries. The 6-car 101 DMU had arrived with the special from Birmingham New Street. The branch from Skegby Junction to Teversall East closed two days after the photograph was taken and the line from Kirkby-in-Ashfield to Shirebrook via Skegby some three weeks later.
