This is the site of the North British Railway's Addiewell terminus looking north west towards Addiebrownhill and Stoneyburn. It has been landscaped here but the line ran from bottom right to run round the left side of the church and on to a junction by East Whitburn. The line continued east as a private line worked by the NBR to service various works. The church has lost its spire since the 1960s and Addiewell has lost its industry.
