Maxwell Park is probably one of the classiest suburbs south of the Clyde, and as the train leaves Glasgow it's interesting to try and spot who's going to alight there, even among the fairly comfortable-looking patrons characteristic of this line (I'm drawing no further comparisons). When this photograph was taken in October 1987 other stations on the western side of the Cathcart Circle still had original buildings, but now Maxwell Park remains the only one with any building (discounting shelters). It has been smartened up, has heritage lighting and looks fine, despite being unstaffed see image 20318.
