Kilmarnock

61278 stands at Kilmarnock on 3 December 1966 with the BR (Scottish Region) Last B1 Excursion from Edinburgh. The train continued over the G&SW to Carlisle, returning home via the Waverley route. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow in 1948, no 61278 was withdrawn from Dundee, Tay Bridge shed in April 1967 and cut up at Arnott Young, Carmyle, in January of 1968.
