Lamesley
A1 Pacific no 60140 Balmoral with a down freight on the ECML at Lamesley, Co Durham, in October 1964. The locomotive will shortly pass under the bridge carrying the powered incline which transferred coal from Ravensworth Ann Colliery (closed 1973), about half a mile east of the main line, to interchange sidings on the west side between Lamesley and Low Fell.
