Hawkhead Oil Siding

On the left a Sprinter passes through the site of the original Hawkhead station as it heads to Glasgow. To the right are the Hawkhead Oil sidings. These remained open after the Paisley Canal line closed to all other traffic west of Corkerhill shed and led to workings over the City of Glasgow Union line. The oil was Glasgow Airport aviation fuel as a pipeline runs from here to the airport. They now haven't been used for quite some time.
