Another Barry rescue. Another pair of cards from a wagon in the scrap line at Woodhams when I visited in late 1975. The repair card was issued at Jersey Marine Yard near Swansea, and despite the exhortation to USE BLOCK CAPITALS, has a hastily scrawled 'Pads' (presumably an axlebox fault) and an illegible destination. The second card authorises its one way trip to Woodhams at Barry for breaking. B143522 was one of a batch of standard 16T mineral wagons constructed in 1953 at Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Works.
