A DMU pulls away from Pinkhill on the last leg of its short journey to Corstorphine on Monday 23 June 1958. Part of Pinkhill station booking office can be seen on the road bridge spanning the line in the right background see image 4581. The Corstorphine branch (at that time handling the journey to Waverley in just over 11 minutes) closed to passengers at the end of 1967.
