Tram routes are shown in red and it's clear there must have been an almost endless parade of 'cars' on The Walk, though perhaps like buses today they all seemed to vanish when you wanted to catch one. Most tram services were replaced by buses carrying the same number and you can still catch a 7, 10, 11, 12, 16 or 25 into town today.
