Saujon
Saujon is now the only surviving intermediate station on the single line branch between Saintes and the seaside terminus at Royan. The station has a passing loop and is still staffed and the station master can be seen here crossing to meet the recently arrived Angouleme to Royan train. Services on the line are a mixture of new diesel units and these first generation DMUs. This one comprises two single unit power cars with a trailer car in between.
