Looking north east over the remains of the turntable that stood alongside the former Caledonian station on the south bank of the Tweed in Peebles. On the north side of the river stands Tweedside Woolen Mill with the tower of Peebles Old Parish Church beyond. The photograph was taken in 1962, eight years after the last freight trains ran east of Broughton.
