Baxenden
Although Baxenden closed in 1951 trains from Accrington to Bury and Manchester continued to pass through until 1966. An industrial site now occupies the trackbed but, nearly sixty years after the last passengers left, part of the old up platform is still in place. Inside the compound the down platform can also be seen. View south at Map Ref SD 776257.
