Saughton Junction

View west at Saughton Junction in late 1975 following resignalling. The semaphore arms have been removed but the old signal posts still stand, the Edinburgh - Glasgow shuttles are in the hands of type 2s, with one at each end operating on the push-pull principle and the large gasometer on Sighthill Industrial Estate dominates the horizon (not far south of what is now Edinburgh Park station).
