The present day fuelling facilities at Perth are located around the former platforms 8 and 9. This is a view of the 'half shed' and fuelling pumps installed a couple of years ago to handle the servicing of the Class 170s, including their associated CETs (Controlled Emission Tanks). Class 158's have all now been similarly adapted so the toilets can now be safely flushed in stations! The two stainless steel machines beyond the green wheeled bowser are two of the three CET pumps. Needless to say the latter are referred to in more colloquial terms locally.
