The changing scene at St Margarets shed in September of 1966, the year before official closure. Outside the now roofless section of the shed stands Fairburn 2-6-4T no 42128 which had been reallocated here from Hamilton three years earlier and would survive for a further six months or so before its final journey to Campbells of Airdrie at the end of November. Alongside on the left stands part of the 'new order' in the form of Type 2's D5062 and D5094, which had been moved north from Finsbury Park to Haymarket earlier that same year.
