Cowdenbeath South Junction
Cowdenbeath South was where the deviation to Cowdenbeath New (the
existing route) left the line through the original station. The fact that a sign was placed here shows that the junction survived after its signal box closed with the opening of Edinburgh Signalling Centre. However it doesn't appear to have lasted much longer and it's clearly not been thought worthwhile to remove the sign (seen here in April 2010) for that last 30 years or so!
