Tottington

One of the Dick Kerr overhead electric rail coaches that operated experimentally on the Holcombe Brook branch for five years before the line was converted to third rail operation in 1918. This interesting photo, taken between Tottington station and viaduct, also shows the OLE masts, several bases of which still survive alongside the old track bed. See image 21770.
