Barrow Hill Shed
Johnson 1F no 41708 once held the distinction of being the oldest operational locomotive on BR. Seen here at Barrow Hill in 1960, the ex-MR 0-6-0T was built at Derby in 1880 and officially withdrawn by BR at the end of 1966. The locomotive has since been restored and is now in preservation see image 23298.
