The Grantown-on-Spey East signalman exchanges some final thoughts with the driver and secondman of the last westbound Speyside train during a photo stop on Saturday 2nd November 1968. The signalman was subsequently redeployed to Carrbridge, where he was a familiar face until the Inverness-Aviemore resignalling in the late 1970s which eliminated the boxes at Carrbridge, Tomatin and Culloden Moor - and introduced new loops at Kincraig, Slochd and Moy.
