Warriston Junction

Leith North's original connection with Waverley (or Canal Street) was via the line through Scotland Street tunnel. The 'main' line continued to Granton Harbour, and the Junction for the Leith branch was at Warriston. Here's the trackbed of the branch looking towards Warriston on 12 July. Fans of the spectacularly dull central Scottish town of Stoneybridge, brought to you by the cult TV comedy show 'Absolutely' in the early 1990s, will have no difficulty in recognising the model for the stoney bridge itself, as seen in the town council's promotional vide-o (it's vidayo!) along with the the shots of Breich's only real street and the since-demolished horrible clock in Tranent.
