Milngavie

Scotrail is keen to render celtic-based placenames into Gaelic on
bilingual station signs. Milngavie is from the gaelic for, apparently, either windmill or Gavin's mill. I've no problem with Muillean (mill) but there doesn't seem to be such a word as 'Gaidh'. Is this just an attempt to render 'guy' into Gaelic to tie in with the pronunciation? Photographed on 14 July 2010.
