Appleby East
The station building at Appleby East, closed in 1962, still stands in excellent condition. The local school car park wall almost conceals the fact that, even though the line to Warcop hasn't been lifted, the whole of the station area is now occupied by a vehicle dismantlers with scrap cars covering the site. This view looks south towards Warcop. See image 18204 showing the same location in 1983.
