Galashiels [1st]
Royal Scot 4-6-0 no 46115 Scots Guardsman photographed at the platform at Galashiels with a southbound train. The date is thought to be 17 July 1965 and the train is the 9.50am (SO) Edinburgh Waverley - Sheffield Midland, a relief to the up Waverley on summer Saturdays. The last of its class to be withdrawn by BR (from Kingmoor shed in January 1966) 46115 is now in preservation. See image 34652
