Woodacre Crossing
A1 60163 Tornado heads for Euston from Edinburgh, on a glorious autumn afternoon, with Day 3 of the Christmas Coronation railtour. The loco was running with The Cathedrals Express headboard and is seen at Woodacre, on the racing ground between Lancaster and Preston, with the M6 Motorway behind and the Grizedale Brook in between. Unfortunately, 60163 had to be assisted by a Class 66 diesel on the last leg from Rugby to Euston due to poor coal affecting its steaming.
