Skipton

Extensively damaged West Yorkshire Metro 3 car DMU no 144017 stored in the north sidings at Skipton on 28 January 1992. The unit sustained the damage in a collision with a class 37 six days earlier. Repairs were carried out and the unit remained in service, latterly in Northern livery after being sold by WYPTA to a leasing company, until late 2019/early 2020 after which it was stored, with other 144 units, on the Keighley Worth Valley Rly. It has since been preserved at the Appleby Frodingham Railway at Scunthorpe
