Dunfermline MPD
Holmes ex-NB J36 veteran no 65288 of 1897, thought to have been photographed on Dunfermline shed in 1966. This was the locomotive which was latterly 'adopted' by members of Dunfermline High School Railway Society see image 28648. Along with classmate no 65345 of Thornton Junction shed this was one of the last two steam locomotives in Scotland to be 'officially' withdrawn in June 1967.
