Castle Douglas
View from the Stranraer platform looking west at Castle Douglas in September 1973, some 8 years after closure. The trackbed has been infilled and one building remains at this stage (as a toilet block?). The former railway land here, which was put to a number of subsequent uses, is now occupied by a Tesco supermarket and its associated car park.
