The Christmas Eve Boat Train has just accessed the Heysham branch and heads for the port to connect with the Isle of Man sailing. The small amount of snow that had fallen the Friday before had certainly lingered. 144007 has just passed the boarded crossing that marks the junction with the old direct line to Lancaster Green Ayre.
