Auchmuty Junction
The Leslie branch remained open for goods until 1967, long enough for much of Glenrothes New Town to be built round it and for the line to be bridged (briefly) by new roads. This is the realigned A92 of the mid-1960s, seen here in January 2011. It is the same road and bridge seen (under construction?) in the background of an earlier Railscot photograph see image 27713 though viewed from the other side. Laverock Avenue is therefore to my left.
