The line out of Buchanan Street cuts through north-east Glasgow in this extract from the OS 1:25,000 Provisional Series map of 1947.  The area is thick with heavy industry including the locomotive works in the Springburn area, with the Hyde Park and Atlas works on opposite sides of the Springburn line.  The site of both works is still (in 2011) partly occupied by industry, albeit not quite so heavy.  For a view of the line today, looking from the site of Atlas Works towards Hyde Park Works see image 32674.  Crown Copyright 1947.
