Heavy paddling in evidence as the much loved Jeanie Deans heads out into the Clyde from Craigendoran Pier on 16th May 1964. Built at Fairfield's Govan Yard in 1931 for the London and North Eastern Railway she was withdrawn from regular service at the end of the 1964 season and, following an unsuccessful preservation attempt, was eventually scrapped in Belgium some 4 years later.
