The 1957 OS One Inch Seventh Series map covering the Auchterarder area and showing the start of the Crieff line. The name Tullibardine may immediately bring whisky to the minds of some of you (uh-huh) but the distillery is in Blackford, right at the bottom of the map, also the home to Highland Spring water. The next station along was Muthill, pronounced 'Mewthill' in the style of Methil. Notice the siding serving the Gleneagles Hotel. Laundry was among the things it carried. Crown copyright 1957.
