The station building at Crookston suffered a serious fire one night
during the 7 years when the line was closed. Happily it was rescued by conversion into housing. It sits on the now disused platform: Glasgow to Paisley Canal trains in both directions have used the former westbound platform since reopening of the line in 1990. Stout fencing (aided by some self-seeded trees) gives residents some privacy from waiting passengers with nothing else to stare at. The fact that it is a hindrance to photographing this attractive building is of course a comparative irrelevance.
