Shoreditch
View south east over the platforms at Shoreditch in July 1985 looking towards Whitechapel. The former northern terminus of the East London Line closed in June 2006. The station has since been demolished and the cutting filled in. Today an elevated route runs past on the left to cross the GE main line before turning north along the trackbed once used by trains from Broad Street to reach the North London Line at Western Junction see image 5172. A 'replacement' station opened at Shoreditch High Street on the new alignment in 2010.
