Ready for departure from Leeds are 43316, leading an East Coast HST for Kings Cross, and 158872 on a Calder Valley service for Manchester Victoria. On this Saturday I noticed that, with one exception, every train on a very busy departure board was on time. The only late service was a SW England to Aberdeen train and that was only running 15 minutes late. Northern Rail have had a big push on punctuality recently that certainly seems to be paying off.
