Towneley
Towneley, a small station only half a mile east of Burnley Manchester Road, closed in 1952 but the station building survives as does the L&YR signal box that controls a level crossing here. With Pendle Hill in the background, 158756 passes the old station as it tackles the climb to Copy Pit summit on a Northern service to York.
