The shed yard at Kingmoor in the summer of 1967. Stanier 8F No. 48158 appears to have worked up to Carlisle from Leeds with a special Class 8 freight judging by the chalked reporting number on the smokebox. Why it should be running with a mini-snowplough, even over the S&C, in the middle of summer is not clear - but it wouldn't serve any further useful purpose as the loco didn't survive the demise of steam in the West Riding that autumn.
