Bedford
Strange and unexpected (but very welcome) goings-on in Bedford. These sidings in front of the old warehouses adjacent to the Hitchin line (see image 30471) are being thoroughly refurbished, and that brick building going up on the left would have been a signal box in days gone by. Probably a signing on point and sidings for Thameslink - even though they will need a reversal to reach Midland station, and preferably some wires overhead. Good job they didn't sell off the land years ago!
