Interior of Dunkeld signalbox in 1990. The view looks south. At the time the timberwork was receiving some attention - a large portion of the southern side was rotten and required replacement. It was commented at the time that this was the very timber which was checked with a gimlet for rot and this might have been the cause.
How much of the box is, in fact, old? I find myself thinking of Trigger's broom.
