On a summer's day in 1961 NBL Type 2 D6109 and an unidentified sister locomotive bring the 10.00 Dundee West - Glasgow Buchanan Street to a halt at Platform 1 in Perth station. A year later the notoriously unreliable NBLs were displaced from express passenger operation, and all had been withdrawn from service by 1971.
