Wolverhampton Low Level

Grab shot from a westbound ATW train entering Wolverhampton High Level on 12 October showing some of the ongoing development work around the adjacent former low level station (closed to passengers 1972). The £30m mixed use scheme for the 9 acre Canal Quarter site proposed in 2005 envisaged a restored section of the former Grade II listed 1854 station as a centre piece using refurbished platforms as patio areas for various restaurants, cafes, pubs etc alongside new hotel and residential accomodation.
