Torrisholme Junctions
The electrified Morecambe to Lancaster Green Ayre line was a test bed for the Euston 25kv electrification and a variety of different catenary masts and other equipment were used along its short length. Almost all the artefacts were removed after closure but this concrete signal post survives as a lighting pole for the Trimpell Sports Club near to the former North Junction of this triangle of lines. Seen here from the trackbed cycle path, the surviving line to Heysham runs just in front of the houses in the background.
