Kaim Points
The former Glencorse branch on 16 October 2011. The left picture shows the view west from the A6106 towards Gilmerton along the last stub of track, with the remains of the branch having been lifted earlier this year see image 32996. The picture on the right shows the view in the opposite direction towards the south end of Millerhill Yard. This area was latterly refurbished and resignalled in connection with rounding manoeuvres for a short-lived car service to/from Bathgate. The plan is for the Borders Railway to cross the former branch in this area. No need for a bridge then...
