Dawsholm Shed
Drummond ex-HR 'Small Ben' class 4-4-0 no 54398 Ben Alder, introduced in 1898 and the last of the class to be withdrawn in 1953. The locomotive spent many years in storage pending a decision on preservation, including periods at Boat of Garten, Forfar and Dawsholm, where it is seen here prior to its eventual disposal through Motherwell Machinery & Scrap, Wishaw, in May 1966.
