Riccarton Junction
A3 no 60052 'Prince Palatine' hauling a northbound freight past Riccarton North box in the summer of 1963. This locomotive eventually became the last survivor of the class in normal service. Riccarton North box had already closed on 15th May 1959, with its functions taken over by Riccarton South.
