Inverness Goods

Kegs of Tennents beer are fork-lifted out of air-braked wagons (with palletised can traffic in the background) in this typical scene at Inverness Freight Depot in the mid-1970s. The beer originated from Wellpark Brewery, just a few hundred yards from Glasgow's High Street Freight Depot, and travelled to Inverness by overnight freight train for local road distribution.
